Why Do Cartoon Characters Become Famous at Halloween
Everyone loves cartoons, it's a proven fact. Children and adults can sit together in front of the television set and watch cartoons. It seems cartoons have taken on a whole new meaning in the last few decades. They have morphed from general entertainment in the early days of theater, to children's enterainment on Saturday morning, to round the clock laughter geared toward all age groups. The Saturday morning cartoon generation, however, is alive and well into adulthood. Obviously they happen to be yearning for days gone by, it may have a little bit to do with the ever-growing popularity of cartoons in mainstream media. Today's cartoons can be viewed around the clock and they are produced for all demographics from the smallest child, to the hrd-to-please teen, and even the adult viewership. Some cartoons even come with an explicit rating for those who wish to view this form of animated entertainment.
The cartoon charcter touches people in ways that no other televised program can. For this reason, many vintage cartoons live on in syndication to be watched again and again. Characters themselves also live on in the form of collectible items, clothing, toys, games, and Halloween costumes. Halloween costumes in particular, could actually be the biggest reason these characters can cross the generation gap and resurrect in public each year. Halloween brings out the creativity in many individuals but it also brings out the professional costume designers who see the opportunity to make substantial profits.
Your favorite cartton character may already be available t your local costume shop. Scooby Doo and the gang are classics with staying power.
